44OS 1.2 brings the web experience and new desktop apps closer together with a cleaner, more personal Home and Account.
The application now reaches the edges of the window for a simpler presentation across the web, macOS, and Windows.
A new welcome experience gives members and creators a concise introduction to Library, Community, profiles, and publishing.
Desktop Apps
44OS can now be downloaded for macOS and Windows from the new Download App page.
The macOS app uses a compact title bar that keeps native window controls separate from the 44OS interface.
The desktop apps open the same live 44OS experience, so improvements arrive alongside the web application.
The desktop shell can request system notification permission and show new 44OS activity while the app is running; the refreshed Mac installer includes it and Windows will receive it with its next installer build.
The macOS application menu adds Settings, a View menu for Account destinations, and 44OS Support under Help.
Home
Home now welcomes signed-in members by name while keeping Discover as the introduction for signed-out visitors.
A larger editorial feature highlights one release with a focused image, title, and destination.
New Releases shows the latest release from each creator without repeating the featured release.
New Creators and Creators You Follow make it easier to move from releases into the people behind them.
Music, Beats, Samples, Merch, Books, and Games now share a consistent set of Browse views and shelves.
Home, Community, and Library section tabs remain close at hand by docking into the top bar as you scroll.
Beats
Beats now have their own Home view, creator-profile destination, Library category, and focused Item presentation.
Beat pages place Preview, Licenses, and Product Details in a clear order and keep recommendations limited to other Beats from the same creator.
License choices show their price, Cart action, included files, and complete terms in a focused information window.
A wider Cart count now appears beside Search and Notifications whenever a selection is waiting.
Approved Beats can now proceed through secure Stripe Checkout, with the accepted license and protected files recorded after verified payment.
Account and Appearance
Desktop navigation now uses a resizable Sidebar with a compact icon-only state and a remembered width.
Account now uses the member portrait and name with a focused list for Profile, Studio, Orders, Messages, and Settings.
Administrators and Team members receive their private workspace link directly in Account.
Signed-out Account opens directly to the email field so joining and returning begin in the same clear place.
Theme and accent choices now use the same centered visual controls for System, Light, Dark, and each accent color.
Profiles and Studio
Profile owners now edit from one compact pencil action while visitors keep the familiar Follow and Message controls.
Creator links on Home open the first published content category available on that profile.
Creator setup can begin immediately, while publishing remains protected until the profile review is complete.
Under the Hood
Catalog ownership and discovery details now use fewer repeated requests across Search, related Items, and Home.
Marketing pages load independently from the application shell for a smaller and more focused first visit.
Includes updated production dependencies, stronger interface contracts, and additional reliability, accessibility, performance, and security improvements.

A more consistent layout keeps titles, tabs, shelves, cards, and actions familiar across mobile and desktop.
Release Notes now provide a simple place to see what is new in meaningful 44OS updates.
Top Bar and Search
A new top bar keeps the 44OS mark close at hand on main pages and gives detail pages a clear way back.
Search now appears where it is most useful, including Home, Community, and Library.
Suggestions appear as you type for people and Items, helping you open the right page more quickly.
Broader searches can still be explored on the complete Search page.
Discover
Featured, Music, Books, Games, Merch, and Sample Packs tabs make it easier to explore every kind of work on 44OS.
Recently Added now brings together the newest work from every category.
New in Music, Books, Games, Merch, and Sample Packs shelves help you find recent releases at a glance.
Each shelf now includes up to eight Items and can be explored with a simple horizontal swipe or scroll.
Filters adapt to the category you are viewing and stay out of the way on Featured.
Library
The All view now organizes your collection into Music, Books, Games, and Sample Packs, making each kind of Item easier to find.
Choosing a Library filter shows only that type of content for a simpler, more focused view.
Games you add to your Library now appear alongside the rest of your collection and are ready to launch from their Library page.
Community
Posts can now be organized as General, Updates, Questions, Collaborations, Showcases, or Assistance, while everyone continues to share one Community feed.
A refreshed design gives posts more room on mobile while keeping familiar rounded cards on desktop.
Longer posts can expand in the feed, with the complete message always available on its conversation page.
Authors can edit their posts, while other members can copy a link or report a concern from the post menu.
Reaction totals are now private, so appreciation can be shared without turning Community into a popularity contest.
Composer and References
One composer now handles every kind of Community post, with a simple choice for the type of post you want to share.
Type @ to find and mention people or published Items without leaving your message.
Selecting a mention opens the corresponding profile or Item page.
Item pages can now show Community posts about that work, while Library remains a private space for each member.
Conversations
Conversation pages now share the same clear design as the main Community feed.
The same reply box works whether you are responding to the original post or another member.
Replies stay within the conversation, with simple indentation that keeps discussions easy to follow.
Clearer spacing and action placement make conversations easier to read on desktop and mobile.
Account and Studio
A dedicated Account page brings Profile, Notifications, Messages, Orders, Studio, Team, Support, and Settings together in one place.
The desktop account menu now follows the same organization while keeping frequently used controls close at hand.
Studio now separates new projects into Music, Books, Games, and Sample Packs.
Game submissions can now be reviewed privately before they are published.
MASK by ØLSTEN is now available as the first desktop-only game on 44OS and can be added to your Library for free.
